Author: Chih-Jiun Lin, Tsu-Ming Yeh and Chienyan Hsieh Keyword: Wine, Analytical hierarchy process, Rough set theory, Grey relational analysis, Analysis of volatile elements
Summary: The purpose of this study was to compare the wineevaluation model by using analytical hierarchy process, rough set theory and grey relational analysisrespectively. Thirty samples were subjected to find themain components and analyze the volatile elements andthe elements studied included five components: dryextract, pH, titratable acidity, alcohol level and residualsugar. Also the price of the wine was included. With thestudy’s results, we find that the price and titratableacidity are the two common characteristic in wineevaluation. Hence, for the most popular wine in Taiwan,it must be low price, higher sweetness and not quitesour.
