The Development of Grey System in Taiwan
 
Grey system theory has been developed over 30 years. The theory in Taiwan only knows
for ten years, became a hot topic for research. In 2002, because of the 3rd reelection of the
board supervisors, and push the grey system theory into international is the main mission.
 

Therefore, in this topic, we preview the development in the past 20 years in Taiwan.

1. In August 1993, Ju-Long Deng and Kai Quan Shi were invited by Prof. Yo-Ping Huang to give intense courses at Tatung. These intensive courses initiated the grey theory research in Taiwan.
2. In May 1995, Ju-Long Deng visited Taipei CPC.
3. In January 1996, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Application in Industrial), at Kaoyuan Institute of Technology, and was chaired by Dr. Kuei-Hsiang Cheng.
4. In November 1996, the 1st National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Kaoyuan Institute of Technology, and was chaired by Dr. Kuei-Hsiang Cheng.
5. In November 1996, the Chinese Grey System Association was established, and the president is Professor Cha’o-Kuang Chen.
6. In November 1996, Journal of Chinese Grey System was initiated, and the chief editor is Professor Yo-Ping Huang.
7. In December 1997, the 2nd National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Dayeh University, was chaired by Dr. Yo-Ping Huang.
8. In August 1998, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Management), at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
9. In October 1998, Professor Ju-Long Deng visited Taipei Tamkang University and Changhua Chienkuo Technology University.
10. In October 1998, the 3rd National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
11. In April 1999, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Education), at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
12. In September 1999, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Water Resource), at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
13. In October 1999, the 4th National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at I-Shou University, and was chaired by Dr. Chin-Wen Chuang.
14. In June 2000, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Electrical Engineering), at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
15. In September 2000, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Management), at Tungnan Institute of Technology, and was chaired by Dr. Sing-Biau Wang.
16. In October 2000, the 5th National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Ming-Chuan University, and was chaired by Dr. Chin-Tsai Lin.
17. In December 2000, short course (Introduction of Grey System Theory And Its Applications in Education), at Chienkuo Technology University, and was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
18. In October 2001, the 6th National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Yunlin University of Science And Technology, and was chaired by Dr. Jet-Chau Wen.
19. In October 2002, the 7th National Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Fareast Institute of Technology, and was chaired by Dr. Kuo-Hsien Hsia.
20. In November 2003, the 8th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Tatung University, and was chaired by Dr. Yo-Ping Huang.
21. In January 2004, Journal of Chinese Grey System was published by English version, and the chief editor is Professor Chin-Tsai Lin.
22. In November 2004, the 9th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Ling-Tung College, and was chaired by Dr. Ting-Cheng Chang.
23. In December 2005, the 10th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Pingtong University of Science & Technology, was chaired by Dr. Ying-Fang Huang.
24. In December 2006, the 11th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Yuanpei University, was chaired by Dr. Chin-Tsai Lin
25. In November 2007, the 12th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Lan Yang Institute of Technology, was chaired by Dr. Chiang-Lung Lin.
26. In December 2008, the 13th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Kau Yuan University, was chaired by Dr. Kuei-Hsiang Cheng
27. In November 2009, the 14th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at De Lin Institute of Technology, was chaired by Dr. Yo-Ping Huang.
28. In December 2010, the 15th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Chienkuo Technology University, was chaired by Dr. Kun-Li Wen.
29. In December 2011, the 16th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at I-Shou University, was chaired by Dr. Chun-I Chen.
30. In December 2012, the 17th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at Fo Guang University, was chaired by Dr. Chih-Sheng Chang.
31. In November 2013, the 18th International Conference on Grey System Theory and Applications, at National Taichung University of Education, will be chaired by Dr. Chaang-Yung Kung
